I just wanted you to know that your site will be missed if you decide to close up doors due to the light traffic and increased frequency of spam.

I hope you don't, and if you ever want a moderator to do house cleaning, let me know!

Thanks for the site!

Rob (tomfarr)

actually its Rich hehe... At least i hope you where talking to me :D I actually just saw this post and I do not have any plans for closing this site down. I love old vintage bikes and I think there is a need for a nice active forum. The problem is getting a good volume of posts. With guys like you and pknopp frequenting the forum it is helping greatly!

I was actually going to post asking if anyone would be interested in helping moderate the forum because as you mentioned the spam can be relentless. I need to do a little back end setup and then if you are still interested i would love for you to be a mod.

Also if anyone has any suggestion for the forum let me know. I would love for Japjunk.net to be "the site" for all things vintage hondas.

Sounds like the easiest thing to do would be to make some changes to the registration process. Like a good CAPTCHA.

That's Rich's dept. He owns this site. I am just here to delete spam & spammers.

The Yahoo Bot is a good thing. The popular search engines send out index bot that constantly search the web for new information/pages. At that point (ie attached picture) a yahoo bot was searching the site. The more information yahoo can get from our site via the bots the more traffic can be sent here.

Thanks for the heads up!

Do you have a similar bot for Google? That is where I do all of my searching.

Its not my bot its yahoo sending them out. And yes you will sometimes see a Google Bot on the site as well. Most major search engines have bots/spiders searching the vast reaches of the internet finding new info.
